| The plot is amusing (interesting, that is), with a few twists, some of which are forseeable, some perhaps not. I have seen nine Chabrol films and I liked this one the best of the nine. Chabrol is always witty and sexy, but something about this film -- perhaps Rod Steiger -- just seems to work better in this than in the others I have seen. |
