You've heard about those writers struggling to make it out there in Hollywood? Jason (Joey Slotnick) is one of them. Some of us should have his problems, though: He's the not-so-obscure object of desire for not one but two beautiful women. "Finally," sighed DVD Talk's Don Houston, after discovering the under-the-radar indie Dinner and Driving (1997), a romantic comedy that is "truly funny, truly romantic and truly realistic... In all, it explored modern relationships far more realistically than virtually anything I've seen come out of Hollywood in years."
The cast, which features a cameo from Saturday Night Live's Molly Shannon, is solid all around, and as for Slotnick, he "has a natural charm that earns him a spot as Woody Allen's neurotic, younger doppelganger," wrote Filmcritic.com.
