A kiss is just a kiss, but it often leads to other things in this farcical adult comedy which bears a certain narrative resemblance to Casablanca. Chick (Rick Ranger) is the owner of a combination nightclub and brothel. One night he is surprised to see Emmanuelle (Serena) walk through the door with her lover, Harry Balls (William Margold). Chick used to be involved with Emmanuelle, but her sexual appetite so sapped his strength that he's been unable to perform with another woman since, including his new girlfriend (Leslie Bovee), so he's a bit taken aback by her sudden appearance. It turns out that Emmanuelle and Harry are on the run from a police detective (Con Covert) looking to bust Harry for embezzlement; Emmanuelle and Harry give Chick an incriminating note for safekeeping, and when it goes missing during an erotic free-for-all, there's a rush among several parties to find it. A psychiatrist appears periodically to counsel the various characters along the way. The film was shot and originally released in an anaglyph three-dimensional process. Hot Skin in 3-D has been released under several titles, including Disco Dolls in Hot Skin and Blonde Emmanuelle, and has appeared in both hardcore and softcore editions. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
