Despite a few trivial inaccuracies, this film does a pretty good job of recreating the daring rescue operation of Jews and Israelis held hostage in Uganda. The film offers a rare glimpse into the operations of Sayaret Metcal, Israel's most elite commando unit. For those interested in Israeli/Mid-east politics, the leader of the operation, Yonni (who is the only soldier killed during the operation), was the brother of Benjamin Natanyahu and may offer some insight into why Bibi holds the political views he does. Also noteworthy is Klaus Kinski who has a supporting role as a German terrorist and a funky seventies soundrack that sticks in your head. I think I read somewhere that the shots of several political figures like Rabin are not stock footage and were done specifically for the movie. Definately a must for Jews or anyone interested in Israel/Mid-east politics.
