This movie has no plot. Was a writer even involved? I do like movies that refuse to explain everything, but this one explains nothing, reveals nothing, including evidence of a clever script or original idea.
The contrivance of everything being filmed by the protagonists is unsustainable, especially when they start carrying the camera around at the most inappropriate moments. Every movie I have seen that uses this gimmick has failed to distract me from that annoyance. Slamming doors and off-screen noises were scary 4 decades ago but only provide an initially chilling atmosphere for anyone who's seen more than a couple horror movies. Then you are left wondering... what's next? Oh, nothing. |
