| This is a failthfull retelling of the Oedipus story. Pasolini claimed that he was filming his "own Oedipus Complex" and I suppose he does. The film begins and ends in the present, and that is one of the best aspects of the film. It makes you think about myth and modernity. The camera work is superb, and the movie is beautifull. Much commendation also for the costumes. Truly inspired. Still, I found this movie a bit boring, but it is what it is. |
