This movie made me Google children raised by animals, because Truffaut treats the subject so well. Based on a well-known incident in France, it explores the feelings and reactions of the child, the doctor who studies him, and the people who help care for him. I found it sympathetic to all of those characters, though hard to watch at times, with my modern baggage.
Excellent nature scenes

Truffaut screened Bergman's Monika for his cast during the filming of The Wild Child. It really shows. Wild Child portrays nature as well as Monika does. Great acting by the child. A wonderful and interesting movie.
