This is an excellent film which seems to be sadly overlooked; this is particularly odd considering the strength of the cast. The primary focus of the film, how an artist would cope with having to hide, and thus give up her art, is fascinating and well handled. The artist played by Jodie Foster creates art so unique that she has no choice but to give it up if she wants to remain hidden from her intended assassin. The art in question is based on Jenny Holzer, and Hopper's acquaintance with the art world served him well; he chose an artist whose work is immediately recognizable as well as oddly suited to the movie. Definitely worth renting.
