GOING POSTAL is a pleasant surprise. Its funny, well-directed and acted, and actually has something to say.
Director and writer Jeff Jackson, working with a low-budget, has given the film a sleek look and more than decent production values. I was expecting a goofy splatter flick , but was pleased to discover that GOING POSTAL is a dark comedy that echoes other nutzoid satires, such as DR. STRANGELOVE, THE LOVED ONE, and RE-ANIMATOR. The film has finally received the DVD treatment because Brad Garrett is in the movie. But, the real star of the film is Jackson's writing and direction. Oh, if you're wondering what the movie is about, the title says it all.
