Tadanobu Asano x Masatoshi Nagase + Sogo Ishii = an unparalleled short circuit battle!
Dragon-Eye Morrison is an electric-charged youth who makes his living finding pet lizards in the streets of Tokyo. The Thunderbolt Buddha works as an electrician by day and punishes those who use electricity for evil by night. When these two men meet they open fire in a battle of destiny! The soundtrack by punk band MACH 1.67 make this a dream collaboration! As the explosions rain down, you'll be pulled into a movie that assaults all five senses!

I rented this movie because it stars Tandanobu Asano, one of my favorite actors. This must have been one of his first movies, because I think signing him on today would be 2 or 3 times this movie's entire budget. It is a short movie, only 55 minutes, of which the first 47 are lead-in and build-up. Then there is a 5-minute battle with electricity, and finally the credits. The actingh, even Asano's, is not great, and the Japanese punk music doesn't add anything. This movie is not very good. |
