I actually just bumped up the rating on this. I really enjoy this series of shorts. Boys Life collects short films about...well gay men. Surprise. If this offends, then don't rent but...on Boys Life 4 I think found some of my favourites.
O Beautiful (with or without the commentary) is really striking. The idea of split screen really works and I don't think I had seen it done like this ever. Listen to the commentary and it makes even more sense.
The first short LTR is pretty funny to me and seems to be about a great majority of my friends. Quick reltationships, quick breakups, and isn't it fun being 20 something?
The other two films This Car Up, and Bumping Heads were enjoyable (I preffered This Car Up to Bumping Heads), but for my money, it's all about the other two shorts.
Cute guys. Some laughs. Somethings to think about. And best of all..most of these shorts are not more than 30 minutes for a quick film fix. |
