Synopsis
Zinda Laash The Living Corpse is a film so rare that even the most exhaustive studies of vampire films dont mention it. Although the film caused a sensation on its release back in the 1960s, it was banned and all but forgotten . . . until now!

This film is actually a remake of the classic Hammer film "Horror of Dracula" that has been injected with dance numbers about how it is ok to be naughty when youre young. While it is not the best movie, script wise or technically, it does offer some interesting comparisons between it and the original Hammer version. Dracula is created using science at the very beginning, which is weird enough, but most of the western mythology is discarded, like stakes, holy symbols, and shape changing. The only things they seem to keep are sunlight, super strength, and the ability to entrance others. The DVD also has a nice documentary on Indian and Pakistani horror films.
If you want a good paper topic, comparing this film with "Horror of Dracula" would do well, and it is an interesting example of an interpretation of the genre from another culture's stand point, but unless you are looking for something that's low budget and somewhat weird, then you should probably pass this one up.
