Sean Connery stars in Caspar Wrede's hostage melodrama, featuring lustrous cinematography by Sven Nykvist. A group of terrorists hijack an airplane and hold the passengers at bay until political prisoners are released. Sent in to stop them is Scandinavian government agent Nils Tahlvik (Sean Connery). | not the political/historical piece I was expecting. More like a whodunnit with Scandinavian soldiers rather than a police detective. This is certainly an inspiration to Die Hard more than a movie about political movements like Battle of Algiers. Connery makes it most worthy of watching. |
