Director Brian Yuzna has seemingly perfected the "been there, done that" methodology of sequelization with the latest installment of the "Re-Animator" series. In both sequels, basically main character Herbert West and the concept of re-animation of the dead via a vial of anti-freeze-ish liquid are the only continuous elements and though "Beyond" is nothing new story-wise, it brings to the table much better special FX courtesy of Screaming Mad George. Filmed in Spain with a predominantly Spanish supporting cast and crew, this is an engaging and highly watchable entry if not majorly inventive or creative.
