O Fantasma back to product details

This Brazilian movie about a sexy young sanitation worker is hot--very hot--if you like your sex spiced with a good deal of S&M. The photography is excellent, and the performances are fine--as far as they go. The lead character has a dog fixation (he likes 'em and he likes to act like 'em, too). His behavior grows more erratic and off-the-wall, as the film goes along, culminating in a night-long spree of violence and sex that finally approaches the deep end. There is not a lot of story here, and you may find, as I did, not much reason to care about anyone in the film. O FANTASMA simply pounds another nail in the coffin of Brazil--which appears here, as in so many other movies, as a country with little caring or concern for its citizens who--in turn--have little care or concern for each other.
