Bianchi and crew didn't try very hard, although they got all the physical elements right: buxom brainless gals, polyester-clad men, Men, MEN!, and a slew of reasonably juicy zombie details. But when you start paying more attention to what the zombies are wearing than to what they're eating...it doesn't speak well to the plot's ability to whisk us away.

What's funny is that Bianchi hasn't produced a more or less sophisticated movie than Fulci's ZOMBIE. If you showed both movies to someone who thinks zombie flicks are gutter trash, he largely wouldn't be able to tell the difference...if he discounted pacing, editing, style, and originality.
