| Beautiful film on all accounts. The sets are stunning, and the photography, by Bava himself, was fantastic in my opinion. The story was good too. Parts of this film are more frightening than any film coming out today. |

| Black Sunday is one of my favorite horror movies. It's about 17th century Moldavia in which Princess Asa and her brother Prince Igor were condemned to death by their own brother for commiting crimes of witchcraft and vampirism. But Princess Asa put a cursed on her family and bowed to comeback from the death to avenge her death. In my opinion this movie is better than most American Horror films. Great atmosphere and excellent directing job by Mario Bava. Also great double role by Barbara Steele as both Princess Asa and Princess Katia. Her mysterious beauty is a big plus in this movie. |
