Jessica Tandy and Bridgette Fonda are both so delightful in CAMILLA that who cares that it's not top-notch Tandy. If only for her memorable--and looney-tune--take on the great Gandhi (and one of his, er, obsessions), this movie is a must-see. Give it a try.
Ms Tandy is sorely missed, and since you probably missed this movie when it first appeared (to unduly nasty reviews), here's a chance to make it up to her (and yourself). I swear, you'll be smiling ear-to-ear as you wander around mumbling, "No, No, Mahatma!" for weeks afterwards. Deepa Mehta ("The Republic of Love" and the "Earth/Fire/Water" trilogy) wrote and directed--quite nicely, too.
