Synopsis
In this psychological thriller, what at first seem to be the wholly insane (and gruesome) self-mutilations of a madman who is also probably a murderer are gradually revealed as the quite logical actions of a frantic man driven by circumstances to incredible extremes. Peter Winter (Peter Greene) is the madman in question, searching for his daughter on an island off the coast of New Brunswick while attempting to evade capture by a persistent detective. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide

I don't know if I saw a different movie than Ninja weapon, but I thought Clean, Shaven was a great independent flick. The director skillfully uses sound design and editing to convey a point of view of a guy unsure of his conception of reality, and by relating the narrative through his point of view, weaves a frightening layer of ambiguity into the film that denies easy identification and resolution. You shouldn't judge a movie by it's Peter Travers quote. And since when does cheap filmmaking mean bad filmmaking?

i double dog dare you to watch it by ninjaweapon November 23, 2003 - 5:48 PM PST

this movie is retarded. the "stop me before i kill again" font used on the poster should have clued me in on this one. peter greene is good, but you can almost see the director's hand pushing him to take it farther. the producer/director obviously spent a good chunk of the budget on greene, because the rest of the acting is hilarious. i mean trauma films stlye bad.

as for the look into the nightmares of a schizophrenic, kerrigan breaks new ground and shows us that they suck. this is simply cheap filmmaking. and it gets worse. it is unbelievably boring. i don't mean slow paced and i don't mean the investigation is careful and thorough. it stumbles around and then finally dies an uneventful death.

i am sure there is a peter travers quote somewhere on the box, probably the DARE TO WATCH IT on the top. i double dog dare you.
