| Although this wonderful film depends heavily on rock-solid performances by Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway, what sticks in my mind even more is John Huston's unutterably creepy, cheerful, avuncular, lizard-like menacing presence, which elevates the ending from merely harsh to savagely tragic. Huston is the bad guy that the good guys will never succeed in getting anyone to take seriously until it's too late. Every shot in this gorgeous picture is perfect in my book. |

| This is Jack Nicholson at his finest. Lavishly filmed with great cast and story line. One of the finest movies ever made. |
