Jackie Chan at his best original stuff. A lot of action mixed in with total good humor...You can tell its an older movie, but if you are a true movie goer than it wont really matter then...Watch and you'll see how good it truly is...

EVERY scene is a fight scene. I don't know how you could NOT like this classic Jackie Chan flick. We get to see Jackie play a mischievous Wong Fei Hong, who is constantly in trouble with his father, grow into a master of the unique martial art of Drunken Boxing with the guidance of seminal drunken master Simon Yuen.
The extras are damn cool. The commentary is basically Hong Kong Cinema 101 and gives lots of interesting facts about the movie and the industry. Listen to the dub too because I think its funny as hell. |
truly a classic

i really enjoyed seeing this one again. to me it's jackie chan at his best. and it's the kind of kung fu film that i grew up watching on saturday afternoons on tv - fun, not too serious, with great kung fu choreography. for a kung fu film the story is pretty good. in fact, "karate kid" seems to have stolen a lot of the stuff. i highly recommend for fans of kung fu.
i really wanted to like it

overall a good kung fu flick but it seems there were problems with the production. i enjoy watching foreign movies in their original language with english subtitles, but the movie seemed to switch tracks on it's own periodically. not sure why, could've been during the chapter switches, and manually changing the tracks did not fix it....oh well
Wow what Quality

This is classic Jackie Chan But the DVD Quality looks like someone just converted a bad VHS copy of Drunken Master.
