this is THE WORST movie i have ever seen... if it wasnt for joel and the bots i would have committed suicide about halfway thru... it is a great mstie epidsode, altho i wonder if it has become such a favorites episode more because it was such a horrible movie than because it was a funny episode. either way a definate must see for any mst3k fan.

by the way, manos is spanish for hands so this movie is actually called HANDS: THE HANDS OF FATE
r.i.p torgo

Awfully good.

The movie "Manos, Hands of Fate" has the honor/disgrace of being named The Worst Movie Ever Made. The MST3k guys even considered it to be TOO bad for their show on initial viewing. But their skewering makes this truly awful movie worth sitting through. We must thank them for bringing this movie to light, or the world would never know the joys of John Reynold's bizarre portrayal of Torgo - the henchman with giant knees.

Manos! Torgo! Frighteningly bad.

Torgo! This episode inspired a "Flying Toasters Company" screen saver where Torgo walked across the screen. It included a slider which allowed you to select the size of Torgo's knees.

And the short "Hired! Part 2" is on my ten-best list.

Otherwise this thing was really creepy and wrong.

Without commentary: painful/with commentary: painfully funny

If ever there was a testament to the comic talents, the sheer brilliance of the Mystery Science Theater gang -- it'd be this episode. For surely I have never seen a worse film, a more incomprehensible piece of ill-focused garbage than "Manos" -- and yet, in the hands of Joel and the 'bots wisecracks, it becomes damned entertaining. See it with someone you love -- or watch it without the commentary with someone you hate. (My favorite piece is the seemingly endless, or at least 15 minute long 'driving sequence' -- torture! Deep hurting!)
