| Certainly some of the best work the Coens have ever done, The Big Lebowski is the best combination of a farce and black comedy you can imagine. Everything from Jeff Bridges and John Goodman's lead performance to Turturro's small but exceptionally memorable character, it all comes to together to be greater then the sum of it's parts. There is so much heavilly layering in the story in here, and so many interesting characters and situations, it makes repeat watches a treat rather then a chore. One of my favorite comedies ever. |
