Much Ado About Nothing
written by MMeadows November 20, 2006 - 4:56 AM PST
It is too bad Shakespeare already grabbed the title "Much Ado About Nothing," as it would have been so apt for this movie. My wife and I started out loving the movie. The filmography is beautiful, and the acting is good, with Paul Newman stealing the show. I even liked the story line. I meant to recommend it to several people, including my brother, who is a sailor and boat builder, like the Costner character in the movie. By the end of the show, my wife and I felt richly cheated by a crummy movie that got our hopes up and then fizzled into a completely stupid ending. We had wasted over two hours when we could have been sorting our socks.
