A fun anime. Thanks to the poor inventory controls of another rental service, this was the first of the Battle Athletes anime that I saw. Even though it was number 34th in my queue! Gotta love Greencine's "locked queue" feature - that would not have happened here! But, as it turns out, this disc stands alone nicely. Better drawn than animated (like a lot of anime for TV), these is a funny and quirky cartoon. The worst is the paper-thin nature of the aliens. Suitable for all ages, although parents afflicted with extreme homophobia will not appreciate some the of the silly lesbian banter. Get over it, it is innocent enough. It is not immediate apparent, but there are four episodes to this disc, but only one opening credits sequence at the beginning and one ending credits sequence. That would be nice except that the ending repeats the opening song instead of the original ending song, the ever-so-cute "HoneyBEE". Look for it.

Suggested Anime
A variety of anime I've seen that I recommend others see. They are listed alphabetically by series and then in the order recommended for watching them.
Anime Music: Composer Yoshikazu Suo
Anime music... Everyone knows Yoko Kanno and Yuki Kajiura, but here's another anime music genius. He also composed the incidental music for "Shall We Dance?"
