| Takes a long time to get moving, and isn't as funny as I had hoped, but Drop Dead Georgeous has its moments. Beauty pageants are an easy target for satire, and many of the best jokes were taken, so the screenwriters added a fictional documentary crew and a serial killer. Kirsten Dunst and Denise Richards have great comic timing and are fun to watch (the same can NOT be said of Kirstie Alley). If you enjoy this film, you should rent all the usual suspects (Election, Jawbreaker, Heathers, etc), but you also might want to check out Man Bites Dog. |
