This is a surprisingly intelligent film that still has several erotic and explicit sex scenes. The dialog is actually intelligent, for once, even if the acting is typically sub-par.
Essentially, three amateur porn players (director, cameraman and female star) are invited to work with a major player in the professional industry. When they arrive, their plans quickly fall apart. It seems the professional director, his scriptwriter and stars are orchestrating the breakup of the group of amateurs with the aim of wooing Taylor Hayes' character (named "Tulip") into his stable of stars. Surreptitiously taped "encounters" and conversations are manipulated and used to set the three at each other's throats.
But the director (the real one, not the two characters) wisely does not let the talking get in the way of the real reason people rent these movies. It's a Vivid production so all the women are unbelievably gorgeous, yet every one of them engages in all manner of sex - no prima donnas here. There's a reason why Vivid is considered the best and it's not just because the women are so hot. They all really enjoy the sex - or at least do an amazing job of acting like they enjoy it. Proving once again that it's the enthusiasm that makes for an intense scene, not what the actors look like. Plus most of the scenes have multiple angles. Not that I actually tested these, but it shows the level of care that went into the film.
This is a well-done disc that deserves a place in your queue. |
