| This isn't a terrible Hitchcock film, but in its lesser moments it's sort of unbelievably old-fashioned. That approach is in stark contrast to the two scenes that REALLY work, namely the rape/strangulation scene and the potato truck sequence. They're among the most accomplished set pieces of Hitchcock's career. It's too bad the rest of the movie doesn't quite match up. |
