Synopsis
A small-town bullfighter finds his love for a beautiful girl but to the ultimate test in this romantic drama starring Antonio Aquilar and Miguel Aceves Mejia. Carmelo is a man renowned for his skills in the bullfighting ring. Alicia is the captivating adopted daughter of the town pharmacist. Though the love shared between Carmelo and Alicia at first proves pure enough to weather any storm, it soon becomes obvious that there are factors over which the pair has no control when cheating gambler Emilio returns from Mexico City with a sizable debt and angry collectors hot on his trail. When Emilio asks Alicia to stash the cash he earned by cheating at cards, her decision whether or not to help the desperate card shark will forever seal her fate with the honest-minded Carmelo. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
