Episode 10: 5-Point Hairpin.
On the 5-Point hairpin turns where Tak previously beat K.T., Tak and his Eight-Six manage to take the lead and Zach spins out of control. A few days later, Iggy mistakenly buys an Eight-Five thinking it's an Eight-Six, but after some chiding from his friends, Iggy decides to stick with it and make it the best race car he can.
Episode 11: Shingo Arrives!
To prove the Eight-Five's potential, Iggy and Tak defeat the S13 and 180SX. Then another rival appears: the Night Kids' Shingo. Not only is Shingo a good driver, but he also turns out to be an extremely dangerous man.
Episode 12: The FR Killer.
Cole tells the rest of the Speed Stars about the race with Shingo and his EG6. Shingo shows up and challenges the Eight-Six to a 'Duct Tape Death Match' (using duct tape to tie one hand to the steering wheel).
