Volume 5 will not disappoint by dh22 May 16, 2004 - 6:42 PM PDT

The action continues in volume 5 to my delight. Volume 4 definately improved things from the lull I saw in previous discs, and volume 5 continues the pattern. Not many new characters are introduced, and only minor advances into the mystery surrounding Daisuke's parents are gained. However, the action and new adventures were a worthy diversion from the storylines.

One of the episodes goes deep into Boma's past, explaining most of his history. We also see a new union between Bolma and Daisuke (and the department in general,) having Bolma assist them in future operations.

My one disappointment is this continuing ploy of "Oh, they're going to shut down the department and dismantle J, but let's reactivate him at the last minute to save the day." They do it in every other episode, and its getting real tiresome.
