| One might describe ALONG CAME POLLY as a bad sitcom. This mess of a movie seems to revel in featuring a bunch of people who act and react in a manner that no one you've ever met would actually behave. Reason: the writer and director need to find some laughs, so they'll try ANYTHING to get them. The Stiller character is phobic--but only when it suits the script; the Aniston character can't commit to anything--but only when it suits the script; the Messing character--forget it, she has zero believability. On the plus side, there's a live ferret (who's cute) and Hank Azaria (also cute, buff and sporting a funny French accent). Otherwise, this one's a stinker, par excellence. |
