Director Masaaki Tezuka follows up his debut feature Godzilla vs. Megaguirus with another movie starring everyone's favorite giant lizard. One of at least three films in the history of the Godzilla franchise to find the merciless reptile pitted against his mechanical counterpart, Godzilla x Mechagodzilla finds humans under attack by the green beast. With little hope left, they build the giant man-piloted robot Mechagodzilla to defend the world. This film was also released under the titles Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Gojira x Mekagojira. Don't buy this movie thinking you're getting Star Wars. It's a B movie. If you keep that in mind, you will enjoy it. The Dolby Digital is great during the Godzilla battles.
I admit I saw Yumiko Shako in The Princess Blade before I bought Godzilla, so I was hoping for at least one bikini scene. Maybe next time.
