I am a huge fan of good anime (ok, some bad too), and remember that as a lad of 16 when this series came out, I was amazed. The character development was well beyond anything I had seen in previous anime with the exception of Battle of the Planets.
I ended up taping this series off TV. Each year since, I get together with some of my Robotech addidicted buddies and we have a Robotechathon that lasts for a week spanning all 3 wars.
If you want to get into a serious anime series with excellent character development then check this series out.
BTW - If you really, really get into this series, they also put out a book series (about 20+ books) that explain a lot of what you do not see in the series. |
