| An amazing commentary on the time. From the very beginning, you realize that you are witnessing a slow, sinister unravelling- a terrifying ride that no one can get off of- the car wreck you just cannot make yourself turn away from. The reactions of the respective band members to the surrounding events are just intense. Great restoration job and be sure to watch the outtakes- they are almost as good as the movie itself. |

After the events of the last thirty years, this may seems so trite and so far away but this was a time of hope and beliefs that life could be more loving and together. And some misguided soul thought it would be cool to have the Hell's Angels provide security for a free concert with a few hundred thousand people and about 10 million micrograms and pay them in all the beer they could drink.
Reality can be such a savage beast. See Marty Balin punched out in the middle of a Jefferson Airplane song. See a gun and then a knife and see a murder.
It's just a kiss away. We are all much older and hopefully much wiser now. Dare we ever hope again?
Watch the film and the song will never fail to more you. |
