This Roger Vadim production was released in the US as ...And God Created Woman. Vadim's then-wife Brigitte Bardot plays the central character, a curvaceous nymphet with a voracious sexual appetite. In fact, it isn't what Bardot does in bed but what she might do that drives the three principal male characters (Curd Jurgens, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Christian Marquand) into an erotic frenzy. Most available prints of ...And God Created Woman have been heavily edited to conform with the prevailing censorial standards of 1957. Vadim remade his own film in 1987. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

The quality of this DVD transfer is plain awful; I see no reason whatsoever to rent this when a much better quality Criterion edition of "And God Created Woman" is available from greencine - get that one instead!
Also, Caroline And The Rebels is _not_ directed by Roger Vadim as seems to be implied by this listing (it's directed by Jean-Devaivre) and is at best unremarkable (I barely forced myself to watch it through). I suspect the only reason it was bundled together with "And God Created Woman" is that Brigitte Bardot plays a minor part in it.
To add insult to injury, both films on this DVD are dubbed in English and don't come with the original French soundtracks.
