A pair of sexy vampires attempts to spread the curse of the living dead among a bunch of frantic teens in this wild horror opus. Ofelia (Susana Beltram) is a beautiful young woman caught up in a passionate relationship with a mysterious gentleman named Gustavo (Ricardo Baulex), who refuses to introduce himself to her parents. Ofelia's folks have arranged for her to marry someone else; frustrated by this turn of events, Ofelia goes through with the wedding, but on her honeymoon, Ofelia is startled to discover Gustavo standing next to her bed as she makes love to her new spouse. Gustavo kills the husband, and then begins drinking Ofelia's blood, revealing his secret identity as a vampire. A hundred years later, a gang of fun-loving teenagers on a skiing trip is left stranded in the woods when the bus breaks down. Looking for shelter for the night, they happen upon an old house they believe is abandoned; however, they soon discover this is not the case, as the undead Gustavo and Ofelia have plans for their unexpected guests. Sangre de Vírgenes (aka Blood of the Virgins) was directed by Argentinean filmmaker Emilio Vieyra, best known in North America for his oddball fusion of horror and sexploitation, The Curious Dr. Humpp. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
