Graveyard Tramps (a.k.a. Invasion of the Bee Girls) back to product details

Very poor transfer!

This film could have been fun if they had produced a reasonably watchable copy. As it is, there are many scenes where you can't even see what is going on it is so dark and washed out. If they ever restore it and re-release it, I might give it another try. As it is it is not very good.

Them aliens has gone too far

I can't believe y'all have rated this a 4.79! Come on, people! It's a Nicolas Meyer film, it's supposed to be bad. This film, originally and more appropriately titled Invasion of the Bee Girls, is the best lesbian-space-invaders-meet-the-grindhouse film ever made, and was making the drive-in movie circuit when Quentin Tarantino was still in short pants. As it's a cult classic, I'm surprised Green Cine doesn't have it cross-listed as such under the original title. I'm sure people are looking for it. The film's got it all: the cheesy early 70s soundtrack, cardboard characters, topless women with monumental lacquered hairstyles, men in bad haircuts and worse clothing, the low-slung tugboats that passed for cars in the pre-SUV era . . . My favorite scene is the Peckham town meeting where Captain Peters announces a moratorium on sex. Where's the citizens' sense of national purpose? This was a red-flag alert! Them terrorists was out to get us. This is a great background film for a party, if you don't invite fundamentalists or children (there's nothing really objectionable, but they wouldn't get it). My only complaint is that they didn't run the outtakes, ala the original Oceans 11, as the final credits rolled; as everyone delivered their lines so straightly, there must have been some great ones.
