A sorority prank gone wrong leads to a bloody murder spree in this slasher film featuring Rumer Willis, Audrina Patridge, and Carrie Fisher. It was supposed to be a practical joke, but no one was laughing after a girl in the prime of her life had been accidentally murdered. Desperate to go on with their lives and avoid taking responsibility for their actions, the surviving sisters and their male accomplice agree to dump the body and never speak of the incident again. | With a title like SORORITY ROW (re-make), one would expect, exploitation, camp, t&a, bitchy woman, along with witty & dark humor. Thank God that is what we get. From the fashion (including shoes), queen bee, jealousy, the whole sister hood thing, lesbian kiss, right down to the twin of the dead girl, it's all there. Think HEATHERS + MEAN GIRLS + I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER. The movie is low on gore, there are few deaths, and the climax is kinda limp, but throw in CARRIE FISHER as the house mother, I think you know what they were going for. Good "B" movie. Go in with "low expectations" and I'm sure you will find a few chuckles and some "did she just say that" moments. |
