An aspiring weather girl (Nicole West) disregards the advice of psychic Liz Renay (DESPERATE LIVING) about her cross-country trip to Las Vegas in her Seventies Hooptie car, a Cadillac that is strictly from 1975, if it is a day! Too bad for her, as a serial killer (Ron Jason) has just broken free and has likewise taken a cross-country trip to Las Vegas! Their paths eventually intertwine, but before then Nicoles car breaks down and well, DUH, as the former owner of a 1975 Ford Grenada I can tell you how reliable these types of cars are, and no one is willing to give this charming young lady a lift! Never fear, serial killer Ron, having acquired wheels from his latest double murder gives her a ride, and well, cat and mouse games ensue.
All hail quick-flick filmmaker T. V. Mikels. Quite unlike his contemporaries Larry Buchanan and Ray Dennis Steckler, who merely stapled in shot-on-video footage to older features and called it a movie, Mikels plows ahead with an entirely original, all new shot-on-video feature and it rocks! There are countless locations and speaking parts and it all moves rather briskly. There are lots of bad-natured yucks to be had from the low budget & all the policemans uniforms are mismatched one cop yells Police! and then flashes a lowly security guards badge! The actors are largely pulled off the street and of course the late Liz Renay is her usual self. Best scene: Consoling Nicoles mother over the telephone, she offers her assistance by going into a deep trance whereupon Liz hangs up and then stares blankly into the camera! Who cares? The videography by Mikels is beautiful and colorful, there is not one dull minute in the entire show and all the girls are pretty. What more do you want from life? You wont regret watching this T.V.
