Trouble Choco is basically a retake on clamp's Chobits, mixed in with other clamp stuff, but done by people who don't understand why clamp's best work is so popular. The jokes are lame sex jokes, the situations are very familiar if you've seen Chobits, cardcaptor, and other clamp stuff, but unlike Clamps' hilariously puerile but actually very savvy and amusing series, this is just boring and juvenile to boot. Clamp is always style over substance, but they have style and smarts, which this drudge does not.
Light parody without much innovation

This is yet another romantic comedy about a hapless boy who becomes entangled with a cute girl who is not quite human (see Oh! My Goddess!, Tenchi Muyo!, El Hazard, Urusei Yatsura, etc). The twist is that the boy and girl live on a future planet where aliens mingle freely with humans, and almost all the characters have names related to food (e.g. Cacao, Truffle, Almond, Matcha, Ganache). If you like light parody with a slight scifi twist or if you're 9 years old, you may enjoy this series. Otherwise, there really isn't much that's innovative or extraordinary about the characters, story, humor, animation or music.
