How in the dark the establishment critics are! How sorry I feel for them! How pointless it is for them to review a Milligan film!

Milligan was a special director for special tastes. If you think you're a cinema buff because you've seen all three Godfather movies -- or because you're up-to-date on Scorsese's next production -- or because you're naive enough to think that James Cameron is an important filmmaker -- or you can quote dialogue from Pulp Fiction -- then Milligan isn't the man for you. Goodbye and good riddance, I say! We don't need your kind around here!

Now excuse while I re-read my favorite portions of Jimmy McDonough's "The Ghastly One: The Sex-Gore Netherworld of Andy Milligan."
