| Chaplin at this best - with soundtrack (but no speaking)! It does contain the famous "singing waiter" scene - with Charlie singing nonsense syllables. Chaplin's style - silent movie - adapts easily to worldwide distribution - no subbing or dubbing needed. Alas, this style was already out of favor in 1936, and Chaplin had to retire from the screen for a while. |
